Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

“Be Not Afraid” is the theme for this year’s Interfaith Thanksgiving Service scheduled for Sunday, November 18, at 5 PM. This year’s host is Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church, 2650 Farnam Street. Each faith tradition will focus on common texts from the “Be Not Afraid” theme based on Psalm 46. In the spirit of thanksgiving the offering and non-perishable food items will be donated to Together. This special service brings together many participating faith communities: American Muslim Institute, Countryside Community Church (United Church of Christ), First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), First Congregational Church (United Church of Christ), First Unitarian Church of Omaha, First United Methodist Church, Hanscom Park United Methodist Church, St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Temple Israel and Underwood Hills Presbyterian Church. Next year’s Interfaith Thanksgiving celebration will be held at Countryside’s new location on the Tri-Faith campus on November 24, 2019.
All 7th-12th grade students are invited to a youth gathering at 3:30 PM at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church for a pizza party!
