South of the Border: An Adult Choir Retreat
Saturday, August 10
9 AM – 4 PM

After a well-deserved break, the adult choir will kick off an exciting new “choir season” with a fall retreat on Saturday, August 10 from 9AM-4 PM.  Lunch provided – $5 suggested donation to defray cost of meal.
It will be a day of singing, food, and fellowship, in which we will dig into some highlights of our repertoire for the season as well as Christmas music. It is a great way for new and returning singers to enjoy a day together and get a head start on the music – especially if you’d like to join the choir but can’t attend every Wednesday rehearsal.
Our theme for the retreat, and for the season, is “South of the Border.” Our repertoire has a Latin American flair, with a major work by an Argentine composer and anthems written by immigrants and refugees. A Latin American inspired lunch and treats will be provided.
If you have been considering joining choir, this is a great opportunity to get a feel for who we are and what we are all about – no commitment required! All are welcome.
