Gifts of Faith: Part 1: A Gift of Islam

Imam Mohamad Jamal Daoudi of the American Muslim Institute, one of our Tri-Faith partners,  shared a message about Islam.  He shared his notes, below.

Neighborhood in Islam

4:36 AND WORSHIP God [alone], and do not ascribe divinity, in any way, to aught beside Him. And do well unto your parents, and near of kin, and unto orphans, and the needy, and the neighbor from among your own people, and the neighbor who is a stranger, and the friend by your side, and the wayfarer, and those whom you rightfully possess. Verily, God does not love any of those who, full of self-conceit, act in a boastful manner;

  • The Prophet, (Peace and blessings be upon him) said: “By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer.’’ It was asked, “Who is that, O Messenger of Allah?’’ He said, “One whose neighbor does not feel safe from his evil”
  • Islam is principles, moral system, and values,
