Pastoral Care Ministry

hands

Countryside Community Church is a loving, caring congregation that offers support to its members in numerous ways.  Along with our pastors, who are always willing to provide you with compassionate direction, care and advice when called upon to do so, we have a wonderful support system with our Stephen Ministers and Care Team.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is an active lay ministry within our church that provides confidential Christian support to those who are facing difficulties in their lives.  Stephen Ministers have received special training to become good listeners and to provide caring support to those going through a difficult transition.  A Stephen Minister will listen to, talk with, or simply be with anyone needing one on one ministry.

Countryside Care Team

This group consists of thoughtful, generous members of the congregation who provide various types of comfort and/or assistance to those in our church family experiencing times of hardship.  Some of the ways this group reaches out to others include:

  • Cards and/or phone calls to the ill, homebound, new moms…etc.
  • Visits to new moms and those in the hospital.
  • Visits to those that are homebound or in nursing homes.
  • Meals provided to families in temporary crisis.
  • Communion delivered to those unable to come to church.
  • Visits to those in hospice care.
  • Blood Pressure checks monthly on-site.
  • Medical equipment available for temporary check out.
  • Prayer Chain

If you or someone you know in our church family would benefit from the outreach of a Stephen Minister or the Care Team, contact Margie Bolte, Pastoral Care Coordinator, through the church office at 402-391-0350 ext. 117.
