Countryside will host a concert of sonata masterpieces for violin and piano by noted artists Sonja Harasim and Jay Hershberger on Thursday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m. The program will include works by Robert and Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms. Both Sonja and Jay have performed all over the world and love to share their music-making in an intimate, chamber-music setting like our sanctuary.
Sonja’s recent activities include performances at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. and a recital at the Bergan (Norway) International Chamber Music Festival. Jay’s recent successes include a tour of China and performances at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Jay is president of the American Liszt Society. Both artists are on the faculty of Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. The concert is free and open to the public.
