Confirmation is a two-year educational program designed to prepare 7th and 8th grade students for their lifelong faith journey. The curriculum aims to help youth develop a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Christian (using the Phoenix Affirmations and the 8 Points of Progressive Christianity as guides) and a member of the United Church of Christ.

Classes meet on Sunday from 4-5pm and online on Wednesday nights from 7:30-8:30pm during the school year.  Our Sunday class requires registration and observes Countryside COVID mitigation procedures.

If you have any questions, please email Rebecca Morello or call the church Office: 402-391-0350.

What We Expect
Weekly class attendance and participation
Worship services (take notes at 4 services per semester)
Complete a Community Service Project every year and complete this reflection form.  Service projects could be one large experience or several smaller ones!
Create a Faith Story- With support from Confirmation leaders, students practice expressing their faith through their own gifts and talents.

Your Faith Story
During the confirmation process, students participate in discussions, take notes, and practice prayer techniques.  As they approach Year 2 end, they will begin putting their understandings and experiences into words, art, or music.

Confirmation Sunday
After completing the Confirmation Program, the congregation welcomes students as new members of Countryside.  This ceremony is part of the worship on the last Sunday in April.
