All are welcome to contribute to our ministries by helping out in our children’s and youth programs, serving on a church board or committee, gardening or handy work, cooking or baking, dishwashing after fellowship, visiting housebound members or chipping in anywhere else there is a need.
Volunteer Opportunities
Community Cupboard Food Pantry (Ongoing – Always a Great need for volunteers!)
Volunteers are needed for the Pantry on the first Saturday of each month. Any and all age groups are welcome. Ability to lift, bend and stand on your feet for extended periods of time are appreciated. If interested contact Andi Lawlor at communitycupboard@countrysideucc.org
Mobile Meals (Ongoing)
Do you have 2 hours a month that you’d like to give to ensuring that those who are homebound receive a decent hot meal? If so, prayerfully consider becoming a member of Countryside’s Mobile Meal providers. This ministry has been at the heart of Countryside for many years. Contact the office at office@countrysideucc.org if you are interested.
Common Ground Coffee Shop Volunteer Baristas (Ongoing)
Common Grounds is growing and Diane could use some more volunteer baristas! No experience necessary. This is your chance to learn how to make a perfect cup of coffee and mingle with your friends at Countryside. If you are interested please email Diane Scott.
Volunteer Receptionists (Ongoing)
We are currently seeking 6-10 individuals who would help out in the front office receptionist’s desk during the week. You can pick your time frame; hours are 8:30-12:00 p.m. or 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Duties would include answering the phones, opening the doors for Kindernook families, and other lite office work. You can feel free to bring a book or surf the web during that time, should it get a little slow. For more information, contact either Dan Loven-Crum or Robyn Hubbard at 402-391-0350.
Kitchen Coordinators (Ongoing)
Looking for 2-3 dedicated volunteers who would take responsibility for Countryside’s kitchens on a weekly basis. This would involve putting dishes away, wiping counters, emptying dishwasher and keeping an inventory of necessary supplies. If interested then stop by the Information Station on Sunday morning.
Paint-a-thon Help (Late Summer – usually August event)
The Board of Christian Outreach sponsors this every year. If you would like to register to help or would like additional information on this outstanding, heartwarming and necessary ministry, please contact either Tom Korth at tkorth2@gmail.com or the church office at 402.391.0350. We start taking volunteers for this project in the late summer. Keep checking back for more details.
