Countryside Community Church has been awarded the Accessible to All (A2A) certification by the United Church of Christ Disabilities Board of Directors. With this designation, Countryside joins a growing network of A2A Certified Congregations and will be recognized on the UCC website.
This milestone reflects the ongoing work of Countryside’s A2A Designation Team, whose mission is to strengthen both the physical accessibility of our campus and the welcoming, compassionate culture that already defines our community.
The certification process began with learning where barriers exist. Using a comprehensive UCC accessibility audit containing. more than 150 evaluation points, the team assessed our facilities, programs, and practices while also engaging educational resources focused on awareness and inclusion. Following the audit, Countryside submitted a plan identifying areas for future improvements and adaptations.
While the certification is a significant achievement, it is truly the congregation’s commitment to hospitality and inclusion that made it possible. Time and again, members have asked, “What can we do to make worship better for everyone?” and “How can we best show love and respect?”
