The Social Justice and Outreach Board has chosen the Center for Immigrant and Refugee Advancement (CIRA), as the June recipient of The Box. CIRA provides refugee services, expert legal representation, and comprehensive social work to immigrants and refugees residing or arriving in Nebraska or Southwest Iowa. They are presently taking care of 13 immigrant families helping with rent, utilities, bus passes, etc. without any government support. Your gifts help ensure that CIRA can support our immigrant and refugee neighbors no matter what changes come.
Suggested donation items include adult and children’s coats, notebooks, school supplies, twin bed sheets and other bed linens, shampoo, toothbrushes, and other toiletries.
