Lent Worship Series: Cultivating the Wilderness
Rev. Patrick Messer will be our guest preacher during Lent. Each Sunday we will be hearing from Patrick Messer as he shares from both the old testament and the new testament a worship series titled Cultivating the Wilderness. Rev. Messer originates from First Plymouth, our sister United Church of Christ church in Lincoln, NE, but has moved and will be joining us virtually from Kentucky. Patrick is committed to God’s call to preach the gospel of God’s unconditional love for all people, and to shaping the church into the kind of community whose love and inclusivity is capable of capturing the hearts and imagination of a whole city. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in Religion and Philosophy from Georgetown College in Kentucky, and went on to earn a Masters of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina.
